Good Work Network and the Alliance for Economic Inclusion invite you to participate in the 2nd Annual Southeast LA Small Business Conference, Access to New Opportunities. This years AEI conference will return to the Lindy Boggs Center at the University of New Orleans on November 12, 2009.
Building on the success of last year conference this gathering will move beyond recovery to re-birth and development. In order for Southeast Louisiana to recover from the disaster caused by Hurricane Katrina a stable base of small businesses must be supported and nurtured.
To address key economic issues and other disaster recovery problems facing the small businesses of the region, the Southeast LA (AEI) was formed. The Southeast LA AEI represents a coalition of over 70 financial institutions, affordable housing advocates, small business development resource groups, SBA, government officials, faith-based groups and federal bank regulatory officials, which are working, collectively, on strategies and solutions to bring more of the unbanked and under banked into the financial mainstream.
This years AEI conference, Access to New Opportunities will focus on a variety of topics which will assist in the start-up or expansion of small businesses, providing valuable information to banks and credit unions interested in increasing their small business portfolios and exploring strategies for greater market access and business opportunities for area small businesses.
We hope that you, your associates and institution can join us for this important event that will highlight access to special capital, incentives, procurement opportunities and technical assistance for small businesses. The conference brings together local and nationally recognized experts on a variety of small businesses development issues, the financial community, entrepreneurs and government.
